Hi all. I've been busy lately with classes and running and rehearals and gym and running and yoga and pilates. . . .gaaah! not to mention I work! hahahahaah. Anyway, I just hooked up with an old friend and on the walk home starting taking pictures of entrances to apartment buildings. I know, seems strange, right? However, I think they are fabulous!! I'll be posting later this weekend inbetween performances, bazaars, workshops and Carnavale!

Water Pictures

I took these pictures on Wednesday while walking around Coal Harbour. The building I work in overlooks the water and unfortunately these piles that you see in the right of the picture below, these are eventually going to be a condo-ish type building out of the water that's going to block our view!!! As you've seen from other postings, we have a great view. probably by the end of the summer, it'll be gone!!!!!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pictures below.

Woohoo! Its been sunny!

Ahhhh, the sun is back in Vancouver. I was out playing on Wednesday and took these shots in and around the Coal Harbour area. One of the buildings in the picture directly below is one of the ones I work in. It's great that I'm so close to mini parks and then a quick run to Stanley Park! woohoo!

Home of the VSO

This is the home of the VSO, the Orpheum Theatre. I was there on this past Friday night for Mozart's Birthday!

The theatre is pretty amazing inside, very ornate. It was originally opened in 1927 as a vaudeville house! The City of Vancouver bought it in 1974 and it reopened in 1977 after being completely renovated inside.

I love the ceiling!!!! All these pictures are just in the lobby areas, I didn't take any inside. At least this time!

If you can see the chandeliar, there are at least a handful of them!

This is from one of the upper balcony areas (well, you walk up another flight of stairs for the upper balcony) It looks right down to the bottom floor where you enter for the orchestra seating (which is where I usually sit!!! Of course the best!)

Close up of one of the many chandeliers in the Orpheum.

Clouds and mountains

I know, how many pictures of clouds and mountains can one person take? Well, since it's me, a hell of a lot! These pictures were taken thoughout the day from my workplace and then the ones at the bottom were taken just as I was leaving work (about 4:30pm). Of course the pink doesn't look as good on the digital camera as it did while I was looking at it, but I'm going to take lessons soon to hopefully correct that!

Green stuff's growing in Vancouver!

These flowers kill me when they start growing! Which is probably why I've been having so many headaches right now! And, they stink. . blah! However, it is nice to see flowers growing now. There's a cherry tree on Pender Street that's blooming already! I'll go out and take pictures once it stops raining! (yes, it's still raining, we had sun yesterday, however, one day out of 40 doesn't really count!)

Sigh, look at the pretty flowers! The tulips and other tubular flowers are starting to spring up now! Give it another month and I'll have so many "early spring" pictures on here that'll it make everyone outside of Vancouver jealous!

Sinclair Centre

This is Sinclair Centre as seen from my volunteer job downtown. This is another building that I just love!

A close up of the building. I'm taking this through the windows of my volunteer job office. I had no idea that there was even a crest on the building until I did the zoom!

The Girl who didn't know who ABBA was!!!!

And another coworker at my staff party (really our christmas party held in just a couple of weeks ago). Yes, seriously, she had no idea, and I was told that her younger sister was even shocked as well! (just incase you were wondering, she's the one in the black)

For some reason my friens seem to love this picture. i didn't think that much about it until I stared at it for a bit. It's nice.

Let me know what you think! Post me a comment and let me know what your thoughts are!

My favorite building in Vancouver!

Well, once again I'm taking pictures of my favorite building! The Marine Building. I didn't take half of what I could! This was once the tallest building in the British Commonwealth. If you live in Vancouver and haven't checked out this building, get your ass down there! If you are coming to Vancouver anytime soon, make sure that you get down there!! It's an incredible building.

Enjoy!
