Lest we Forget

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Memories of Denman Island - Part One

I received my cd of pictures from the Denman Island Retreat on Friday. It was nice looking over the pictures, thinking of the memories of Denman Island. For anyone that hasn't been on Denman Island, take a trip there and stay for a few days, each time you go, you will stay for longer and longer each time. There's not a lot to do there but that's the best part!

Hmmmm, the food! We ate like this everyday..and the second picture, mid-morning and mid-afternoon we had coffee, fresh juice, homemade cookies and fruit for snacks. (below)

Bruce, the man everyone wanted to take home with us, he feed us everyday, thank god we were dancing so many hours, because the food was so good, everyone had thirds. (below)
